Guwahathi: North East Correspondent, Guwahati: With the arrest of 13 more Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar in Assam, a total of 35 Myanmar residents have been detained in a month who have illegally entered north-eastern India. It also includes women and children. This information was given by the officials. A police official from Assam in Karimganj said that while working on the information, Assam Police has arrested 13 Rohingya refugees including 6 children from Karimganj district for illegally entering India through indo-Bangladesh border in Karimganj district.
According to the report, the arrested Rohingya refugees have been taken into custody by the police. They were taken into custody because they were going from Agartala to Guwahati. Quoting sources in the report, he was arrested from the Churibari inter-state border. It is reported that 13 Rohingya refugees, including 4 men and 3 women, are from two different families. He was living in refugee camps set up in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. According to the report, police have recovered a fake Aadhaar card and Indian currency notes from the occupation of Rohingya refugees. The arrested Rohingya refugees were planning to go to Delhi, Hyderabad or Jammu in search of work, as they did before the police. For information, many Rohingya refugees were arrested by assam police from various places on charges of illegal entry into the country.
