Hyderabad Book Fair began in 1987 and since then it is gaining reputation as an annual event of book lovers. Hyderabad being a Metropolitan City with citizens from all over the country making it their home, the Book Fair has become one of the important literary events in the history of the city. About 200 participants from both the Telugu states and all over the country exhibit their books in 250+ stalls. About 8 to 10 lakh people visit the stalls during the course of the eleven days of the book fair. People of all ages, all walks of life and all cultures look forward for this event.
The logo of the 38th Hyderabad Book Fair from 19th to 29th of December, 2025 has been released by the honorable Advisers Justice B. Subhashan Reddy, Sri Kodandaram, MLC and Sri K. Sreeramachandra Murthy, Senior Editor and the Executive Committee of the Hyderabad Book Fair Society. The exhibition timings are uniform on all the days, i.e. 1pm to 9pm.
The Advisors have commended the organisation of the Book Fair in 2024 and have also reviewed it. They said that proper arrangements will be made for the visitors and stall holders during the 11 days of the Book Fair. They have expressed happiness over the increase in book publication and readership during this digital age. Events like Hyderabad Book Fair will create awareness about books and will reach out the books to the readers. The book releasing programmes and events like The Book that I Read/ The Book that Influenced Me and cultural programmes are a special attraction. A Book Donation Bin is provided at the Book Fair and the Books received will be given to the needy libraries.
The applications for participation in the Book Fair are being received (on all working days) from 1st November and the last date is 30th November, 2025. The applications are being received only at the Book Fair Office in M H Bhavan, Bagh Lingampally. The date for drawing of lots for allocation will be announced later. The number of stalls this year is limited to 260 stalls.
The cooperation of the Participants, Visitors, Government Departments, Philanthropic Institutions, Print & Electronic Media and other dignitaries is requested to make the 38th Hyderabad Book Fair a grand success.
