New Delhi : Adayu Mental Health Hospital, a Fortis Network Hospital, has released Hear the Silence, a short film that highlights the importance of recognising unspoken mental health experiences and fostering more empathetic conversations around emotional well-being.
The film is a story by Dr Samir Parikh, Adayu, with creative direction and editing by Swati Katariya of Metaphor Videos. It explores how silence is not always quiet and can manifest as withdrawal, exhaustion, fear or a seemingly reassuring “I’m fine”—signs that may often go unnoticed by those around us.
Through this initiative, Adayu aims to encourage people to look beyond spoken words and become more attentive to the emotions and experiences that individuals may find difficult to express. The film’s message, Hear the Silence, serves as a reminder that sometimes, understanding begins with listening, observing and offering support without judgement.
The film calls on people to listen beyond words, acknowledge experiences that often remain unheard and help create a more understanding and supportive environment for mental well-being.
