2 Shramik special trains leave from J&K for Chhattisgarh

As part of evacuation process of people of other states and UTs stranded in J&K, two Shramik special trains with 3537 migrant workers left from Katra Railway Station for Chhattisgarh yesterday.

The total number of outbound migrant workers who have been sent back to their home states through special trains from Katra since 19th May has reached 35, 022. So far, J&K government has arranged 22 special trains to facilitate migrant workers reach their home towns safely.

However,  two more Shramik Trains are scheduled for today from Katra, the first train will depart at 1 PM for Raigarh, Chattisgarh and would pass through Delhi-Katni- Shahdol-Anuppur halting at Bilaspur and Champa and the second train will leave at 5 PM for Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh and would pass through Gwalior-Sagar-Anuppur halting at Gwalior and Sagar.

All the movements will be as per the SOPs to contain COVID-19 especially with regard to complete adherence.
