AIPL PRESENTS SUPERSIKH VAISAKHI 5K RUN       

New Delhi: AIPL (Advance India Projects Limited) presents SUPERSIKH VAISAKHI 5K RUN in partnership with the World Punjabi Organisation (WPO) and Sun Foundation. Scheduled to take place at 7:00 AM on Sunday, April 14, in the Inner Circle of Connaught Place.

World Punjabi Organization is a global entity with chapters spanning over 20 countries. Complementing this noble endeavour, the SUN Foundation, established in the same year, has been tirelessly working towards the uplift and empowerment for the underprivileged, through various social welfare initiatives towards free skilling and job placement assistance for youth, Drug de-addiction and rehabilitation and rescue and rehabilitation after repatriation of Punjabis across border to name a few.

Last year’s marathon witnessed a phenomenal response, with over 2000 marathoners participating. The event was further ennobled by the flag-off ceremony conducted by none other than Mr. Fauja Singh BEM. This year, we aim to surpass the success of the previous event and make it an even more vibrant celebration of community and wellness.

The SUPERSIKH VAISAKHI 5K RUN is already off to a roaring start with a substantial number of registrations pouring in from enthusiasts across India. Participants from all walks of life are eagerly lacing up their running shoes, and signing up for what promises to be a memorable experience. Registration is still open for those who wish to join this vibrant celebration of culture and fitness.

Participants can anticipate an array of exciting experiences, including certificates and medals for all participants, energizing refreshments to keep spirits high, and the rare opportunity to run alongside the legendary Fauja Singh.

At the age of 93, Singh ran a marathon in 6 hours and 54 minutes, a world record for anyone over the age of 90. He also holds UK records in the 200m, 400m, 800m, a mile and 3000m for his age group. With loads of fun and excitement in store, this event promises to be an unforgettable celebration of culture and fitness.
