Guwahathi: Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah arrived in Guwahati last Friday night on his three-day visit. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is currently on a three-day visit to Assam and North East states. Shah’s visit is very important before the assembly elections. Union Home Minister Shah has also laid the foundation stone of the country’s largest medical college and hospital in Guwahati at a cost of Rs 6060 crore.
Delivering his speech on the occasion, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the dream of creating Assam and north-eastern states under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as India’s growth engine is yet to be fulfilled. Recalling the great man of Srimanta Shankardev, a great man from the North-Eastern States, the Home Minister said that the great man Srimanta Shankardev has worked to uphold the integrity and unity of India. His ideal has reached every nook and corner of the country. The dream of building a Bathdwa place at Nagaon in Assam as the Golden Temple in Amritsar is still going to be fulfilled. The Golden Temple of Batdrava Thanh will be famous all over the world.
He criticised the Congress and said that former Congress Prime Minister Manmohan Singh did not do any developmental work despite becoming a parliamentarian from Assam. Assam He accused the Congress of taking the youth of Assam towards violence and spreading unrest, martyring the youth of Assam and making this sacred farm a cremation pier. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, efforts are being made to spread peace by eliminating gun culture in north-eastern states including Assam. In the forthcoming Assam elections, the BJP has once again appealed to the people to give an opportunity to complete the unfinished development work. The BJP should win by majority so that there is a chance to work on the basis of development and the BJP government is banned to fulfil whatever is incomplete. He said the BJP in Assam will form the government by securing majority in the forthcoming elections.
Earlier, Assam Finance Minister Sarma told reporters that during his visit to Assam, senior BJP leader Shah has met the newly elected members of the State Party Corps Committee and the Bodoland Territorial Council. Sarma said that a 23-member delegation of the United People’s Party Liberal-BJP-Gana Security Party alliance has also discussed several issues with them.
