Assam: Curfew relaxed in Dibrugarh, educational institutions remain closed

In Assam, curfew has been relaxed at Dibrugarh municipal town area for 5 hours since 8 am to 1 p.m. today. However indefinite curfew continues at Guwahati for the 3rd day today. The army and para-military forces are deployed at violence hit areas to maintain law and order.

Large number of tourists are stranded as the train and flight movement is badly affected due to protests. Business establishments, educational institutions remain closed.

3 persons have died and several injured in clash with security forces in Guwahati yesterday as protest turned violent.
