Belarus Advances Bilateral Education Initiative with India Through Fully Funded Student Exchange Programme

Bengaluru : Marking a significant milestone in the growing educational partnership between India and Belarus, the Government of Belarus, in collaboration with the Anandilal Podar Trust, has welcomed a delegation of 19 Indian students and 2 teachers under a fully funded International Cultural and Educational Exchange Programme. The initiative forms part of the expanding India Belarus Bilateral Education Initiative, aimed at strengthening academic collaboration, cultural understanding and youth engagement between the two countries. The 7 day programme, held between June 27 and July 3, 2026, has been designed to provide deserving young Indians with immersive academic, cultural and leadership experiences while advancing the shared vision of expanding educational cooperation between India and Belarus.

Fully sponsored by the Government of Belarus and the Anandilal Podar Trust, the programme covers international travel, accommodation and all participation costs, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent talented students from accessing global learning opportunities. Held under the theme “Belarus India: On the Wings of Friendship,” the exchange enables participants to experience Belarus’ education system, history, culture and innovation ecosystem while representing India’s rich cultural heritage, traditional arts and folk traditions as youth ambassadors. The initiative reflects Belarus’ commitment to fostering international educational partnerships that prepare young people to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

During the programme, the delegation is based at the internationally renowned Zubrenok National Children’s Educational and Wellness Centre, located within the scenic Narochansky National Park. Recognised as one of Belarus’ premier institutions for youth education and international cooperation, the centre provides students with an immersive learning environment through academic workshops, leadership sessions, cultural exchanges and visits to educational institutions, museums and historical landmarks. The programme also incorporates wellness experiences, including balneotherapy and aromatherapy, reflecting Belarus’ holistic approach to education and youth development.

The exchange represents one of the key initiatives under the expanding bilateral education partnership between India and Belarus. Importantly, the programme has been structured to ensure that opportunity is determined by merit rather than financial means. By jointly funding every aspect of the exchange, the Government of Belarus and the Anandilal Podar Trust have created a model that makes international educational experiences accessible to talented students irrespective of their economic background.
