BKJ Airports Partners with TLD & ASARA to Deploy Next-Gen Green GSE

New Delhi: BKJ Airports, one of India’s fastest-growing ground handling companies, has announced a landmark partnership with global ground support equipment (GSE) leaders TLD and ASARA Mobility to bring next-generation sustainable aviation solutions to Indian airports. With this strategic move, BKJ Airports will become one of the first in the country to deploy a large-scale electric vehicle (EV) fleet in ground handling, significantly advancing India’s journey toward sustainable airport operations.

The order includes state-of-the-art pushback tractors, electric baggage freight loaders (BFLs), ground power units (GPUs), electric tugs, ramps, and other advanced GSE, scheduled for phased delivery over the next nine months. In addition, the company will induct ultra-low floor electric passenger coaches and high-end EV ramp cars across its managed airports, further strengthening its green mobility ecosystem.

This milestone was facilitated by Millennium Aero Dynamics, which played a pivotal role in enabling the high-value agreement. The collaboration highlights Millennium’s position as a trusted partner within India’s aviation ecosystem and a key bridge between global OEMs and domestic operators.

Driving Sustainable Aviation

As the aviation sector intensifies its shift towards low-emission operations, the introduction of electric and low-emission GSE by BKJ Airports is set to transform ground handling efficiency. The new fleet will not only reduce fuel consumption, noise, and carbon emissions, but will also help improve turnaround times and service quality for partner airlines.

This initiative strongly aligns with India’s national goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070 and reflects the core values of sustainability and innovation championed by JK Jajoo Ventures, the parent group of BKJ Airports.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Mohit Jajoo, CEO, BKJ Airports, said: “We are delighted to partner with global leaders TLD and ASARA in bringing next-generation equipment to our airports. This collaboration not only marks the beginning of a long-term journey of innovation but also reinforces our commitment to sustainability. With the induction of electric passenger coaches and EV ramp cars, we will become the first in the country to deploy such a large-scale EV fleet in ground handling. Over the next three to nine months, these assets will significantly strengthen our capabilities and reaffirm BKJ Airports’ leadership in driving sustainable aviation solutions.”
