Bengaluru : Centrico Insurance Repository Limited (“CIRL”), a subsidiary of Central Depository Services (India) Limited (“CDSL”), has appointed Shri Ashish Sardesai as its Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, effective November 02, 2026. The appointment brings experienced insurance-sector leadership to CIRL as it continues to strengthen its repository insurance business, deepen industry partnerships, and enhance services for policyholders.
Shri Ashish Sardesai brings over 25 years of professional experience across life insurance, financial services, business development, and technology-led enterprises. He has held senior leadership positions with Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, Tata AIA Life Insurance, Max New York Life Insurance and AIBCL (India) Insurance Broking, and has also founded and led an AI-powered skill-tech platform. His appointment comes as CIRL’s insurance repository operations continue to expand, with about 26.10 lakh electronic insurance accounts and partnerships with 49 insurers as of September 30, 2026.
