Patna : Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) inaugurated its 4th Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Course Outcomes (CO), Programme Outcomes (PO), and Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) in virtual mode on 13 July 2026. The five-day programme, scheduled from 13–17 July 2026, aims to strengthen faculty competencies in Outcome-Based Education (OBE), assessment practices, and attainment methodologies.
The programme commenced with a virtual lamp lighting ceremony, followed by the inaugural address by Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP, who emphasized the importance of outcome-based teaching and continuous quality improvement in higher education. Prof. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar, Associate Professor and Programme Chair, provided an overview of the FDP and conducted the inaugural technical session on “Introduction to Outcome-Based Education and its Relevance.”
The FDP includes sessions on mapping Course Outcomes with Programme Outcomes, preparing course attainment levels, developing student rubrics, and measuring programme-level direct and indirect attainment. The sessions are being delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar, Prof. (Dr.) Ranjit Tiwari, and Prof. (Dr.) Kalyan Agarwal, all Associate Professors at CIMP. The programme is expected to enhance faculty understanding of OBE implementation and contribute to strengthening academic quality and accreditation readiness across higher education institutions.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. Ranjit Tiwari, Associate Professor, CIMP, and Programme Chair of the FDP on CO-PO-PEO, who expressed his sincere gratitude to the Director, CAO, Associate Dean, resource persons, participants, and the organizing team for their enthusiastic support and active participation, which contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
