Covid-19 positive women gave birth to babies at Rupnath Brahma Civil hospital, Kokrajhar

Two Covid-19 positive women gave birth to two babies, a girl and a boy at  Rupnath Brahma Civil hospital, Kokrajhar today.
A team of doctors and nurses conducted ceaserian sections on the two women who are infected with coronavirus and delivered the babies.Both babies have been tested negative and are stated to be doing good. The two women identified as Runjun Mahanta (32) and  Kangana Barman ( 22) are COVID-19 positive and were admitted at the civil hospital. Runjun gave birth a baby girl and Kangana gave birth to a baby boy.
This is the first case of COVID 19 positive patients giving birth in Kokrajhar. Doctors and medicine staff expressed happiness over the successfully conducted of the ceaserian and delivery of healthy babies.Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Office, Kokrajhar has been sealed for two days after a office staff and a security guard were tested COVID-19 positive today.Kokrajhar DC Bhaskar Phukan  said the DC office will be sealed for two days for sanitization and cleaned. Official work be be done from Circuit House till then.
Kokrajhar reported total 44 (44)  COVID19 positive case in the last 24 hours. The cases includes one each from Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner residence and DC office, one from Kokrajhar district jail and 5 from Assam police battalion, 6 from CRPF camp forest colony bringing the total COVID19 positive  to 341 so far. Total recovery is 215 and present active case stands at 126 nos.
