New Delhi : Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has unveiled its strategic roadmap for 2027–2028, outlining plans to accelerate hotel development, strengthen profitability and expand its presence across India and South Asia. The announcement comes as the hospitality group completes 12 years of operations and hosts THRIVE 2026, its 9th Annual General Managers’ Conclave, on October 29–30 at Cygnett Collection, Gurugram.
Having built its presence across emerging business, leisure and pilgrimage destinations, Cygnett is entering its next phase of growth with a development pipeline of 55 hotels and resorts comprising approximately 3,750 keys. The company is targeting a portfolio exceeding 10,000 keys by 2031, supported by new hotel openings, brand diversification and expansion into high-potential markets.
A key driver of this growth strategy is Cygnett’s alliance with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, which has strengthened the group’s international reach, global distribution capabilities and brand portfolio. The collaboration is expected to play an important role in Cygnett’s expansion across India and South Asia, combining its understanding of regional hospitality markets with Wyndham’s international network and brand platforms.
Alongside expansion, Cygnett is placing greater emphasis on the commercial performance of its hotels. Its 2027–2028 roadmap identifies revenue per available room (RevPAR), gross operating profit (GOP), market share, cost efficiency and owner returns as key performance priorities. The company also plans to strengthen revenue management and operational decision-making through artificial intelligence, automation, digitalisation and data analytics.
Commenting on the company’s growth journey and future direction, Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, said, “When we started Cygnett twelve years ago, our vision was to build an Indian hospitality company capable of growing across emerging markets while delivering consistent service and strong value to hotel owners. Over the years, we have expanded our presence, diversified our brands and established a foundation for long-term growth. Our next chapter is about translating that scale into stronger performance, profitability and global competitiveness. With 55 hotels and resorts in our development pipeline and our strategic alliance with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, we are moving confidently towards our ambition of exceeding 10,000 keys by 2031.”
Beyond business expansion, THRIVE 2026 places leadership development and guest experience at the centre of the company’s operational strategy. Under the theme “From Evolution to Excellence – Building Cygnett 2027–2028,” the conclave brings together general managers and corporate leadership to strengthen accountability, develop future-ready leaders and align operational practices with the group’s growth ambitions.
The company will also reinforce its signature service philosophy through the Cygnetture Experience, Namaskar Culture and Emotional Unlimited Hospitality, with a focus on maintaining consistent guest experiences as the portfolio expands. As India’s hospitality industry benefits from rising travel aspirations, infrastructure development, spiritual tourism, destination weddings and increasing corporate mobility, Cygnett sees significant opportunities for organised hospitality across emerging markets.
With its next phase of growth focused equally on expansion and operational performance, Cygnett aims to build a globally competitive Indian hospitality platform that combines international standards, technology-enabled efficiency and personalised service while delivering sustainable returns for hotel owners and long-term value for stakeholders.
