The 24th edition of the Energy Efficiency Summit, organized by the CII – Godrej GBC (Green Business Centre), under the aegis of the CII Energy Efficiency Council, took place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) from 16–18 September 2025. The 3-day summit spotlighted India’s transition to a low-carbon economy, with sessions dedicated to clean energy transition, energy efficiency financing, and the introduction of advanced technologies and international best practices.
As the Chairman of CII – National Energy Efficiency Council and the President of Danfoss India, Mr. Ravichandran Purushothaman underscored how the summit facilitated sharing of best practices and emerging innovations critical to India’s Net Zero ambitions. He highlighted that with over 3,000 leaders from industry, technology, and policy sectors in attendance, the event showcased innovation in energy efficiency, emphasized financing, and promoted international and national perspectives on clean energy transition and sustainable solutions.
Mr Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, Danfoss India, said, “The Energy Efficiency Summit has once again proven to be a powerful platform to unite policy, industry, and technology leaders in advancing India’s Net Zero ambitions. Danfoss India is proud to play a facilitative role in this ecosystem, fostering collaboration and showcasing how clean technologies can drive both competitiveness and decarbonization. As we look ahead, our focus is on shaping future-ready solutions that will not only meet today’s energy goals, but will also lay the foundation for a sustainable, low-carbon economy for generations to come.”
At the summit, Danfoss India launched the latest iC7-Hybrid Module which can work as AFE, Inverter, Grid Converter, DC-DC Converter and the ultra-high efficient iC7-Hybrid -1500 VDC Liquid-cooled Grid Converter, positioning themselves at the forefront of the movement towards a sustainable, decarbonized future in India in the presence of the industry & CII GBC leaders. Dr. Raju Goyal, Chief Technical and Sustainability officer of Ultratech Cement Ltd and Mr. Tejpreet S Chopra, Founder and CEO of Bharat Light & Power Group, inaugurated the new product in the presence of CII GBC leaders, Danfoss officials and well-wishers from the industry.
Mr Mandar Vaijanapurkar – Head of Drives Sales, Marketing & Services, Danfoss India Region, said, “The iC7-Hybrid series embodies our vision to deliver secure, modular, and high-efficiency power conversion for applications ranging from hydrogen and storage to shore power and EV fast charging. By combining flexibility with safe and secure digital twin tools, it gives industries the confidence to accelerate their smart energy transition journey.”
The newly introduced iC7-Hybrid series by Danfoss is a premium, multipurpose product line from the industrial Drives family, designed for global application across smart grids, marine environments, energy storage, and electrification. With 99.2% Euro efficiency, unrivalled power density, and robust cybersecure design, the converters deliver superior grid control, scalability up to 9 MVA, and ultra-fast response suited for hydrogen, shore power, and fast-charging applications.
The new iC7-Hybrid variant expands the iC7 portfolio, following last year’s launch of the iC7 System Module with Integration Unit. While the system module was tailored for industrial drives and marine applications, the iC7-Hybrid series is dedicated to advanced power conversion for smart grids, hydrogen, energy storage, and fast-charging applications. Based on the cutting-edge iC7 series platform, this launch integrates digital optimization, true digital twin simulation, and a versatile user experience to meet the demands of today’s industry leaders, allowing for seamless adaptation to diverse operational needs.
Danfoss India’s active involvement in the Energy Efficiency Summit 2025 for a decade plus, and the launch of next-gen energy-efficient solutions reaffirmed its position as a leader in engineering technologies, continually driving innovation in energy efficiency and sustainability.
