Delhi CM directs govt officials to minimise the use of vehicles

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to citizens to contribute towards economic resilience by reducing dependence on imported fuel, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has directed cabinet colleagues, all MLAs of the BJP, public representatives, officers of the Delhi government, and all departments to use the minimum number of vehicles as per requirement and prioritise carpooling and public transport.

In line with this initiative, she travelled by the Delhi metro today. She said that Energy conservation is a responsibility linked to national interest, and Delhi government is working with full commitment to promote fuel conservation and public transport. Ms Gupta urged all Delhi residents to also join this national effort for energy conservation.
