“Dr. Archika Foundation and National Commission for Women Come Together for the Launch of the ‘Mansik Shakti Scheme’ to Revolutionize Women’s Mental Well-being

[New Delhi]  — In a landmark initiative to address the growing mental health crisis among women, the Dr. Archika Foundation, under the visionary leadership of Dr. Archika Didi, has collaborated with the National Commission for Women (NCW) to launch the “Mansik Shakti” scheme. This scheme aims to foster emotional resilience and mental strength across diverse segments of society, with a particular focus on empowering women.

The centerpiece of this initiative is the “Mansik Shakti Wellness Tool Book,” a comprehensive booklet designed to help individuals navigate the complexities of modern life. The program introduces a unique “24-minute routine”—dedicating one minute for every hour of the day—structured as 10 minutes in the morning, 4 minutes in the afternoon, and 10 minutes at night. This routine is crafted to provide a mental sanctuary for women who often balance the double burden of domestic and professional responsibilities.

The scope of “Mansik Shakti” is vast, reaching into colleges, universities, and schools, as well as providing specialized support for survivors of acid attacks, rape victims, women in prisons, farmers, and corporate professionals. By addressing mental health in these varied contexts, the Dr. Archika Foundation is actively working toward a more inclusive and psychologically healthy society.

Dr. Archika Didi, Chairperson of the Dr. Archika Foundation, shared her vision during the launch:

“Mental strength is the foundation of all progress. Today, women are excelling in every field, but the mental burden they carry has doubled. Hence, the need for self-care and management of nervous system has become more important than ever. At the Dr. Archika Foundation, our mission is to provide them with the tools to stay resilient. ‘Mansik Shakti’ is not just a program; it is a movement to ensure that every woman has the internal power to overcome challenges and lead a life of dignity and peace.”

The launch event was also graced by Padma Shri Deepa Malik, celebrated Para-athlete and Padma Shree Winner. The foundation also highlighted additional resources for mental wellness, including Dr. Archika Didi’s books, “Reprogram Your Mind” and “Master Your Emotions.”

Ms. Vijaya Rahatkar, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, emphasized the importance of the partnership: “The NCW is proud to collaborate with the Dr. Archika Foundation on this vital cause. Women often overlook their mental well-being but it’s time that we start reworking on our social, physical, mental and spiritual health, that will eventually lay the foundation for a healthy and happy life. Through this MoU and launching the ‘Mansik Shakti’ toolkit, we are taking a definitive step toward reaching the most vulnerable women.”

Through this formal collaboration, the Dr. Archika Foundation and the NCW reaffirm their commitment to making mental health a national priority, ensuring that women across India are mentally equipped to shape their own futures.
