Escorts Kubota Limited has introduced two new tractor models, the Kubota MU4502 at 45 horsepower (HP) and the Kubota MU5002 at 50 HP. They strengthen the company’s premium utility tractor portfolio in the 41–50 HP category, one of the largest and fastest-growing segments in the Indian tractor market. Both models carry an industry-first 8 Year transferable warranty, reflecting the company’s high confidence in the build quality and working life of these products.
Both tractors are powered by the proven Kubota KQP4 Japanese engine. They are equipped with an advanced 12F + 4R Multi-Speed Synchromesh Gearbox that lets farmers pick the ideal speed for every job, from heavy tillage to haulage, so they can work faster, cover more ground and finish operations in less time. Pompa Lift with DSS (Dual Stabilizer Spring) Technology keeps implements steady and maintains a consistent working depth even on uneven ground, giving more uniform results.
Escorts Kubota operates three tractor brands in India, Farmtrac, Powertrac and Kubota, catering to entry-premium, value and premium segments respectively. The new MU4502 and MU5002 sit within the premium Kubota brand. With these two additions, the MU range now includes the MU4201, MU4501, MU4502, MU5002 and MU5502, offering farmers a comprehensive premium utility portfolio.
The new MU4502 and MU5002 have been engineered for modern Indian farmers looking for higher productivity, comfort and multi-application performance. The tractors feature Kubota’s global design, inspired by the strength and agility of a bull, with full LED lighting for better visibility and a premium appearance. The fully covered flat-deck platform, premium bucket seat, suspended pedals, double-acting power steering and ergonomically placed controls keep operators comfortable through long working hours, and balancer shaft technology keeps vibration down.
As a true multi-utility platform, the new models work with almost all primary and secondary tillage and farming implements, including super seeders, seed drills, potato planters, mini round balers and cultivators. The tractors handle major crops such as paddy, wheat, maize, pulses and soyabean, and take on haulage and commercial tasks as well. A reverse power take-off (PTO) supports specialised applications such as rotavators and straw reapers. Both models suit landholdings of 5 acres and above, and Escorts Kubota has launched them as a pan-India offering.
Commenting on the launch, Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, Escorts Kubota Limited said, “The 41–50 HP category is one of the largest and most important segments in the Indian tractor market, and the new MU4502 and MU5002 strengthen our position in it with a more complete premium utility offering. Aimed at progressive farmers, existing tractor owners looking to upgrade, contract farming operators and custom hiring businesses across diverse cropping patterns and farming practices, these tractors reflect our strategy of focusing on the segments that matter most to India’s farmers.”
Akira Kato, Deputy Managing Director, Escorts Kubota Limited said, “The MU4502 and MU5002 carry the strength of Kubota’s Japanese engineering, built for performance and durability over a long working life. The proven KQP4 engine, matched with a 12F + 4R Multi-Speed Synchromesh Gearbox and Pompa Lift with DSS Technology, is designed to keep running costs low and deliver dependable performance season after season. Living up to our promise of ‘Dum Bhi, Bharosa Bhi’, our commitment is to bring Kubota’s global engineering standards to Indian farms, and to build machines that continue to earn their place on the farm year after year.”
Rajan Chugh, Chief Officer, Tractor Division said, “With the MU4502 and MU5002, we are shifting the focus from horsepower to earning power. These 4WD tractors help farmers do more work in every hour, earn more from every acre, and take on custom hiring as an additional source of income. Backing that earning potential, we are proud to introduce an industry-first 8-Year Transferable Warranty. It stays with the tractor even when ownership changes, giving farmers long-term assurance and helping the tractor retain stronger resale value. This is ownership value built for a new generation of smart farming professionals.”
