Specialists from the Center for Diagnostic and Telemedicine of the Moscow Healthcare Department took part in the Congress of the Asia-Pacific Society of Head and Neck Radiology (APSHNR), held in Denpasar, Indonesia, and bringing together leading experts from Asia, Europe, America, and Australia.
“International professional engagement is a key priority for our Center. We regularly participate in major international scientific and professional events, presenting our researchers’ findings, discussing prospects for joint scientific and practical projects, and exchanging experiences with colleagues worldwide. It is essential for us not only to gain insight into best global practices but also to share our own advancements in radiation diagnostics, scientific research, healthcare digitalization, and the application of artificial intelligence technologies,” stated Olga Omelyanskaya, Chief innovation officer of the Center for Diagnostic and Telemedicine of the Moscow Healthcare Department.
Center experts presented their work in head and neck diagnostics, the application of AI algorithms, and measures to improve the quality of imaging scans. Additionally, the Russian experience in healthcare digitalization, specialist training, and the development of a regulatory framework for artificial intelligence garnered high praise from both the participants and the members of the Society’s Executive Committee.
“The expertise and practical knowledge of the Center’s specialists were highly valued by the professional society and the congress organizers. We were invited to join the Executive Committee of the Asia‑Pacific Society of Head and Neck Radiology. This format of interaction will enable us to participate actively in developing and implementing joint educational programs for Society members in the coming years, share leading domestic practices, and carry out joint projects with partners. This is an important step in strengthening professional ties and scaling our expertise internationally,” emphasized Olga Omelyanskaya.
Following the congress, agreements were reached on further cooperation with international colleagues. Notably, the participation of APSHNR leaders in the Russian Diagnostic Summit, scheduled to take place in Moscow in the fall of 2026, was confirmed. The parties also explored prospects for joint research in the field of artificial intelligence in neuroradiology and the exchange of best practices among medical organizations across different countries.
