National: As the festive season peaks, CarDekho Group’s Auto Classified platform has released new insights on Electric Vehicle demand during Navratri. Based on proprietary platform insights from pre-festive to post-Navratri (26 September to 26 October 2026), the findings show festive EV interest turning into purchase intent.
EV buyers moved steadily from research to purchase this festive season. Daily EV purchase enquiries on the platform rose 13% across Navratri and Dussehra (11–20 October) compared with the fortnight before the festival and stood 40% higher post-Navratri. EVs also claimed a bigger slice of festive car research, with their share of all car research on the platform growing 1.9x over last year’s Navratri.
Telangana and Rajasthan led the country on EV interest during the festive window. EVs made up 12.7% of all car research in Telangana and 10.7% in Rajasthan. They were followed by Karnataka (7.3%), Delhi (6.2%) and Maharashtra (5.6%). Among cities, Jaipur stood out with EVs making up 11.6% of car research, second to Hyderabad (12.7%) and well ahead of Bengaluru (7.4%) and Delhi (6.2%), reinforcing that electric mobility is no longer just a big-city conversation.
The ₹15–20 lakh band emerged as the most researched EV price segment this festive season, accounting for 26.6% of all EV research across Navratri and Dussehra. It was followed by EVs priced under ₹10 lakh (22.3%) and ₹10–15 lakh (20.5%). Together, mass-market EVs under ₹15 lakh drew 42.8% of EV research, while the ₹15–25 lakh mid segment accounted for 35.5%.
