New Delhi: A 36-member business delegation of women leaders and entrepreneurs from FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), led by Puja Garg, National President, FICCI FLO, undertook a business visit to Portugal and Belgium from September 15–24, 2026, aimed at strengthening international business linkages and creating new opportunities for women-led enterprises.
The delegation focused on exploring ways to transform the longstanding India–Portugal relationship into meaningful and mutually beneficial economic partnerships, with particular attention to sectors including textiles, green business, agriculture, technology and manufacturing.
As part of the Portugal programme, the delegation visited Amorim Cork, where the members gained insights into advanced practices in the circular economy, sustainability and responsible manufacturing. The visit provided an opportunity for the delegation to understand how sustainable business models and resource efficiency can be integrated into industrial operations.
A key engagement of the delegation was its interaction at the Embassy of India in Lisbon, where the delegation was hosted by Puneet Kundal, Ambassador of India to Portugal. The programme brought together the visiting women entrepreneurs with local businesspersons, government representatives and members of WICCI Portugal, facilitating discussions on bilateral trade, investment and business collaboration.
The interactions explored opportunities for stronger cooperation between Indian and Portuguese enterprises, particularly in areas where women entrepreneurs can play a greater role in driving innovation, sustainable growth and international business partnerships.

The delegation also explored opportunities in textiles, green businesses, agriculture, technology and manufacturing, with discussions centred on knowledge exchange, market access, innovation and potential commercial collaborations.
The visit reflects FICCI FLO’s continued efforts to provide women entrepreneurs with international platforms, facilitate cross-border business connections and promote greater participation of women in global trade and economic partnerships.
The Portugal and Belgium delegation is part of FICCI FLO’s broader international engagement programme, through which the organisation is seeking to connect Indian women entrepreneurs with global markets, institutions and business leaders.
