Kochi: Registration for the fifth edition of the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon, which has quickly established itself as Kerala’s own marathon, has commenced.
As part of the launch, the first bib was handed over to Hibi Eden, MP. CleoSportz Director Anish Paul and CleoSportz Marketing Head Nidhun Sadanandan, the marathon’s organisers, jointly handed over the bib.
Hibi Eden said that, after successfully completing four editions, the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon has become a defining event in Kochi.
The marathon will be conducted in four categories: the 42.195-km marathon, the 21.097-km half marathon, the 10-km run, and the 3-km Green Run.
CleoSportz Directors Anish Paul, Byju Paul, Sabari R. Nair, and M. R. K. Jayaram said they were delighted to have transformed the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon into an event that Malayalis, who place great importance on health, eagerly look forward to.
They also said that the marathon has evolved into a platform that showcases Kochi’s health and sporting culture, as well as its tourism potential, on a global stage.
Registration for the marathon, which will be held in February, is now open through www.kochimarathon.in. Participants who register before October 15 will receive a 10 per cent discount.
