“I know that they have been following India, and following us everywhere that we play. And it’s always nice to have our own fans everywhere we go. It takes a lot of effort and a lot of commitment from the entire Bharat Army. Thank you so much for your support. A little bit of backing goes a long way especially in big tournaments, so keep standing behind us, and once again, we are grateful for all the good energy and the support that we have gotten over the years,” Uthappa said, acknowledging the relentless backing that stretches far beyond home soil.

Uthappa, a World Cup winner himself, opened up on just how much of a lift that noise can give even seasoned professionals. “I think great support always helps. It always kind of gives you a little bit of motivation. It gives you some wings and that support really means well, especially for guys who are not playing well,” he said.
