National and international award-winning filmmaker and Filmfare Award recipient Sushant Panda brings his latest cinematic creation, Haridra, to audiences on 13th September, exclusively on VDO JAR. The 30-minute Hindi short drama, written and directed by Panda himself, is already being hailed as one of his most powerful works to date.
Known for his fearless storytelling and ability to shine light on socially sensitive issues, Panda uses Haridra to examine the emotional aftermath of trauma through the eyes of an eight-year-old girl and the desperate fight of her parents for justice. True to his signature style, the director pushes boundaries—challenging conventional notions of morality, legality, and the very definition of justice.
Produced by Radha Hariram and co-produced by Himanshu Nag, Haridra has been creating ripples across film festivals for its poignant storytelling, earning praise for Panda’s unflinching direction and emotionally raw screenplay.
“For me, cinema is not just about telling a story—it’s about provoking thought and making audiences confront realities they would otherwise ignore,” Panda has often said. Haridra reflects this vision with haunting clarity, questioning whether true justice can ever be confined to the limits of law.
The film features powerful performances by Dinesh Nag, Reshma Jain, Shreyanshee Das, Aishwarya Behera, and Nandini Das, but it is Panda’s sensitive treatment of the subject, layered dialogues, and ethical depth that give the narrative its lasting impact.
A production of Hariram Pictures, Haridra is not just another social drama—it is a testament to Sushant Panda’s ability to blend artistry with activism. With its OTT premiere, the film is poised to spark vital conversations on justice, morality, and the resilience of human spirit, reaffirming Panda’s place as one of India’s most compelling contemporary directors.
