Mumbai: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) continues to set the benchmark in India’s energy sector, delivering record-scale operations while maintaining uninterrupted fuel and LPG supply across the country, even as demand remains elevated across several markets.
Between 1st and 11th April 2026, HPCL recorded sales of 4,20,577 KL of Petrol (MS) and 7,66,487 KL of Diesel (HSD)—translating into a movement of over 11.8 lakh KL of fuel in just 11 days. This was enabled by the strategic deployment of 80,304 tankers, ensuring continuous replenishment and seamless availability across its vast nationwide network.
At a time when demand cycles have intensified, HPCL’s ability to integrate scale, speed, and synchronised logistics execution has ensured that supply remains stable, responsive, and resilient.
In the LPG segment, HPCL has further consolidated its leadership, delivering 161 lakh cylinders during the same period, ensuring consistent supply to households across India. The Company also strengthened last-mile connectivity through the supply of 3,29,685 Free Trade LPG cylinders of 5 Kg and 20,826 cylinders of 2 Kg, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive energy access for migrant and economically vulnerable communities.
HPCL’s continued push towards digital transformation is now nearing completion, with 99.1% of LPG bookings being routed through digital platforms, including IVRS, SMS, WhatsApp and HP PAY. This near-total digital adoption has significantly enhanced service speed, convenience, and transparency, supported by DAC/OTP-based authentication for every delivery.
Parallel to its large-scale supply operations, HPCL has intensified its vigilance and enforcement framework, maintaining a zero-tolerance stance towards malpractices.
Between 14th March and 11th April 2026, the Company:
Conducted 4,850 inspections
Took action against 110 distributors, including 30 suspensions
Carried out 660 raids
Registered 41 FIRs and seized 3,674 LPG cylinders
This dual-engine approach—combining operational scale with strict enforcement— ensures that supplies reach genuine consumers without disruption, even during periods of heightened demand.
HPCL reiterated that fuel and LPG supplies remain stable across its network, and any temporary pressure observed in select locations is primarily due to short-term demand spikes and precautionary consumer behaviour, rather than any systemic supply constraint.
Consumers are advised to avoid panic-driven purchases and adhere to normal consumption patterns, while relying exclusively on official HPCL communication channels for accurate and timely information.
With its ability to combine unmatched operational scale, digital leadership, and strong field-level vigilance, HPCL continues to lead India’s energy ecosystem—ensuring that the nation keeps moving, without interruption.
