Bengaluru: The Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), IIM Bangalore’s two-year MBA for working professionals, has strengthened its position among the world’s leading Executive MBA programmes, rising to #64 globally from #72 in 2025 and #2 in India in the Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking 2026.
The latest ranking assessment brings to the fore strong career and financial outcomes associated with the programme, with IIMB recording its strongest performance in key alumni salary parameters since 2020. Average Alumni Salary three years after graduation rose to US$285,934 from US$243,035 in 2025, while the Salary Increase recorded a significant jump to 102%, up from 82%.
Notably, IIMB is the only Indian B-School in the global top 10 for salary increase, which underlines the programme’s career impact for working professionals who pursue a competitive and rigorous MBA while continuing to build their careers.
On the performance of the programme, Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, Director-in-charge, IIMB, said, “PGPEM is designed for professionals who are ready to challenge themselves, broaden their managerial prowess and translate learning into meaningful impact for their organizations. The FT EMBA 2026 results, particularly the significant gains around alumni salary outcomes, are an encouraging reflection of the value our participants derive from the programme”.
The FT EMBA ranking evaluates programmes using a combination of alumni feedback and institutional data. More than half of the overall ranking weight is drawn from measures such as Salary Today, Salary Increase, Career Progress, Work Experience, Aims Achieved and the Quality of Alumni Networks.
IIMB’s performance also reflects progress across broader institutional and sustainability indicators. Its carbon footprint rank improved to #19 globally, up from #23 last year. Gender diversity across female faculty, students and board representation also saw a marginal improvement.
The FT rankings add to a strong year for PGPEM. In the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2026, released earlier this year, the programme retained its position as the No. 1 Executive MBA in India and remained the only Indian B-School to figure among the global top 100.
