IIM Bodh Gaya celebrated its 11th Foundation Day by launching its first Executive PhD Programme and welcoming the sixth batch of its Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).
The institute inducted 207 students into the IPM batch, including 70 women and 137 men. The Executive PhD programme welcomed its inaugural cohort of 14 students, comprising 12 men and 2 women. The day began with an orientation programme that featured a Ganesh Vandana, lamp lighting and introductory sessions by Prof. Aviral Kumar Tiwari and Prof. Archana Patro.
In her address, Director Prof. Vinita S. Sahay highlighted the spiritual and human strength of the region. She urged students to think boldly and “leapfrog” ahead by harnessing youthful energy for innovation and meaningful change.
Chief Guest Mr. Nitish Mishra, Minister of Urban Development and Housing and Information Technology, Government of Bihar, spoke about Bihar’s growing startup ecosystem, noting over 1,700 government-supported startups. He praised IIM Bodh Gaya as a symbol of academic excellence in the state.
The programme also featured sessions by Dr. Ruchi Dhawan Sharma (VP-HR, IndiGo), Lt. Gen. Sandeep Singh (Commandant, OTA Gaya), Mr. Amitabh Mohanty (MD & CEO, JM Financial Asset Management), Mr. Satyendra Khare (Google) and Mr. Pintu Kumar Jain (Head of Training, Siemens Technology and Services).
The celebrations concluded with a ceremonial cake-cutting, vibrant cultural performances and the felicitation of National Sports Day winners.
