INDIA Bloc Unites on Aggressive Agenda: Kharge Announces Five-Point Action Plan Against ‘Electoral Loot’ and Youth Betrayal

New Delhi: In a show of renewed vigour, the INDIA Janbandhan Party leaders’ meeting concluded at the Constitution Club of India on Monday with a sharp focus on pressing national concerns ranging from alleged electoral manipulation to the NEET-CBSE examination fiasco and the worsening economic distress.

Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, addressed the media after the meeting, which saw participation from 23 parties. Leaders Uddhav Thackeray and Hemant Soren joined the deliberations online and extended their full support to the decisions taken.

Shri Kharge said, “All parties gave their views and we have reached unanimous agreement on five points. We will fight on these issues with full determination.”

The Five-Point Consensus:

  1. Letter to Chief Justice on Electoral Integrity The alliance decided to send a formal letter to the Chief Justice of India highlighting serious concerns over manipulation in voter lists (SIR-Vote), electoral “loot,” and threats to the fairness of elections. The letter will be delivered shortly.
  2. Demand for Education Minister’s Resignation In a strong attack on the government’s handling of education, the bloc unanimously demanded the immediate resignation of the Union Education Minister. Kharge accused the ministry of betraying lakhs of youth who appeared for NEET and CBSE examinations. “Lakhs of young people are today standing on the streets,” he said, underscoring the scale of the crisis.
  3. Call for All-Party Meeting on Economic Crisis The INDIA bloc urged the Union Government to immediately convene an all-party meeting to discuss the precarious economic situation, including rising unemployment, inflation, farmers’ distress, atrocities, and other people-centric issues.
  4. Regular Alliance Coordination All constituent parties agreed to meet every two months to strengthen coordination. The next meeting will be held in Hyderabad in August (exact date to be finalised and communicated later).
  5. Monsoon Session Strategy Parliamentary coordination will continue vigorously during the upcoming Monsoon Session. Daily morning coordination meetings will be held, as usual, in the office of the Leader of Opposition.

Shri Kharge emphasised that these five points reflect a collective resolve to raise people-centric issues forcefully both inside and outside Parliament. He thanked all alliance partners for their unified stand.

The meeting signals a renewed push by the opposition alliance to seize the narrative on governance failures, youth aspirations, and institutional integrity ahead of key political battles. Observers see this as an attempt to consolidate the INDIA bloc and mount sustained pressure on the ruling dispensation on multiple fronts simultaneously.
