Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India and Mauritius enjoy a unique friendship based on shared cultural and linguistic heritage, and robust cooperation in many areas.
In a tweet, Mr Modi thanked Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind K Jugnauth for greetings on Independence Day. Mr Modi was responding to the Prime Minister Jugnauth’s greetings to him on India’s 74th Independence Day, which was celebrated on Saturday.
The Mauritius Prime Minister tweeted, Happy Independence Day India. God bless the Government and the people of this great nation
