KIIT College of Engineering successfully conducted its Internal Hackathon 2026 as part of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026, providing students with a platform to present innovative and technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges of national importance.
The two-day Internal Hackathon, held on September 8 and 9, 2026, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 14 teams presenting 28 innovative ideas. Following the evaluation process, Top 15 ideas were shortlisted for further consideration in the Smart India Hackathon 2026 selection process.
The event witnessed an excellent display of creativity, innovation, technical understanding, and problem-solving abilities by the participating students. The ideas were evaluated on parameters including innovation, relevance to the problem statement, technical feasibility, scalability, potential impact, and overall effectiveness of the proposed solutions.
The Internal Hackathon was conducted under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. S. S. Agrawal (Chief Director, KIIT College of Engineering; Emeritus Scientist, CSIR), along with Dr. Atul Kumar and Dr. Kanika Kaur. Their valuable guidance and encouragement played an important role in motivating the students and strengthening their innovative ideas.
