The Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed The Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial (Amendment) Bill, 2018. Congress members, however, staged a walkout in opposition to the bill.
Earlier, replying to the discussion on the bill, Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma said the government honoured the martyrs who laid down their lives during the Freedom Struggle.
He said the NDA government dedicated to the nation memorials like Yaad-e-Jallian museum and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Museum in honour of the Freedom fighters.
He said the government also celebrated the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev.
