Bhopal: Vaccination Maha Abhiyan-3 was launched today to apply first dose of vaccine to the cent percent population of the target group and to increase the coverage of the second dose of vaccine in the state. Madhya Pradesh has again set a record by administering vaccine doses to 25 lakh people in a day.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that vaccination mega campaigns were conducted to give protection to the people of the state from corona. On the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, more than 26 lakh citizens have been provided with safety cover by running Vaccination Maha Abhiyan-3. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that our target is that every eligible person should get the first dose of the vaccine by September 26. Public participation is also an important aspect in the efforts being made in this direction. He said that sufficient doses of vaccine are available in the state. With the help of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state is getting free vaccine as required.
In Madhya Pradesh, the vaccination campaign started simultaneously in all the districts in an enthusiastic atmosphere. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan also motivated the citizens to get the vaccine by visiting the vaccination centres in Bhopal and Vidisha. Vaccination Maha Abhiyan-3 got immense success through the continuous efforts of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and by adopting the people-participation model of the state. More than 26 lakh people have set a unique example in the country again by applying the vaccine in a day.
Corona is not gone yet, stay alert
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Corona has not gone yet, so stay alert and vigilant. Corona crisis has shaken the whole world. Our priority is to conquer Corona. Corona keeps transforming, which changes its form. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we have lost our loved ones during the Corona period, so it should be our endeavour that such times do not come again. Everyone should be protected from corona infection by getting the vaccine.
Festive atmosphere at vaccination centres
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that in many districts more than the target has been achieved in the vaccination campaign. Adequate number of vaccination centres was set up in every district of the state. Today, a festive atmosphere has been seen at all the vaccination centres. As a result of this, record vaccination took place in the state today. People came forward with self-motivation and ensured their participation in the great campaign. The Chief Minister also thanked the heads of various social institutions, religious leaders, litterateurs, intellectuals and dignitaries, including public representatives, whose efforts gave impetus to the vaccination work.
Special arrangements for the elderly and disabled
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that suitable arrangements have been made at all centers to provide vaccine to the target group in the vaccination campaign. Along with this, arrangements were also made by the local administration for transporting vehicles to and from the center, especially for the elderly and the disabled. With cooperation from the administration, the elderly and differently-abled people, while maintaining awareness towards vaccination, have got the vaccine to prevent Corona infection. In many areas, the elderly and differently-abled people played the role of motivators and also inspired people to get the vaccine. The participation of different sections of the society has been important in the positive atmosphere created in the vaccination campaign in the entire state.
Report from 10 am to 9 pm
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that due to the enthusiasm shown by all the people towards Vaccination Maha Abhiyan-3, the number of vaccinations kept on increasing every hour. The number of people who got vaccinated till 10 am is one lakh 32 thousand 808, three lakh 4 thousand 827 till 11 am, 5 lakh 22 thousand 477 till 12 noon, 8 lakh 7 thousand 71 till 1 pm, 10 lakh 55 thousand 249 till 2 pm , 13 lakh 9 thousand 704 till 3 pm and 17 lakh 99 thousand 159 till 5 pm, 19 lakh 99 thousand 173 till 6 pm, 22 lakh 23 thousand 13 till 7 pm, 23 lakh 79 thousand 830 till 8 pm and till 9 pm, about 25 lakh citizens have been vaccinated. The final figures of vaccinations done in the vaccination campaign are yet to come.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that these vaccination figures are proving that every citizen of the state has become aware of Corona infection. Soon 100 percent population people of Madhya Pradesh will come under the protection cover of vaccine.
Assistance of Crisis Management Committees
Members of district, block and village and ward level Crisis Management Committees also played an active role in the campaign to provide vaccine protection to every citizen of the state from Corona infection. The members of the committee, while doing public awareness work in urban and rural areas, also performed the role of motivator at the vaccination centers.
