‘Madhya Pradesh Sthpna Diwas’

Every year on November 1st, Madhya Pradesh, which is the second-largest state in India, celebrates its State Foundation Day. On 65thMadhya Pradesh Sthapna Diwas, &TV’s MP-based artists – Bhopal’s Sara Khan (Devi Paulomi from Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein), Gwalior’s Sarika Bahroliya (Gudiya from Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhari), Indore’s Shubhangi Atre (Angoori from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) and Kamna Pathak (Rajesh from Happu Ki Ultan Patlan) express their regional pride and convey best wishes as they come together to celebrate this special day. Says Sara Khan, “Also called the ‘Heart of India’ MP has a fantastic assortment of wildlife, history, religion and natural beauty.

I hail from Bhopal, famously known as the ‘Lake City’. What I love about the city is that it offers the best scenic beauty, greenery, good infrastructure, great food, and a pollution-free climate. Interestingly, a citizen perception survey conducted in March 2020, ranked Bhopal in top five most liveable cities in India. On our State Foundation Day, a big shout out and greetings to everyone from Madhya Pradesh.” Shubhangi Atre comments, “I am born and bred in Indore. Our state, MP, is lush in its architecture and monuments, from the Sanchi Stupa to the Khajurao sculptures, the intricacy and stories depicted through the arts and crafts are splendid! I am also proud to say that in the Swach Survekshan 2020 awards, Indore topped the charts for the fourth consecutive year, of being the cleanest city in India.

On MP Stapna Diwas, my best wishes and compliments to the people of Madhya Pradesh.” Sarika Bahroliya adds, “I get nostalgic when someone even mentions my hometown, Gwalior or Madhya Pradesh, both are so close to my heart! The gatherings at Tansen music festival, the marvels at the Scindia Museum, offering prayers at Teli Ka Mandir, till date I am in awe of it all.

I may be away from home at this moment, but my heart will always be in Madhya Pradesh. It is indeed a very joyous moment for all of us and here is wishing everyone a Happy State Foundation Day!” Kamna Pathak concludes, “Madhya Pradesh, undoubtedly is one of best states given it has so many things to offer – from tourism diversity, rich cultural and spiritual heritage, wildlife, art and culture, poetry to also being food lovers and shoppers’ paradise. Both Indore and Bhopal are in Top 10 cleanest cities in the country, with Indore topping the list. I have fond memories of my childhood and growing up years in Indore. On our State Foundation Day, my best wishes to Madhya Pradesh people and wish that our state continues to touch new heights of development.”
