Manipal: The 33rd Convocation Ceremony of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will be held from 21 to 23 November 2025 at KMC Greens, Manipal. The convocation ceremony of MAHE Bengaluru campus will be held from 29 to 30 November 2025 in Bengaluru. MAHE, an Institution of Eminence and Deemed to be University ranked 3rd in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 in University category, marks this milestone event as a reflection of its longstanding commitment to nurturing capable graduates, fostering innovation, and advancing excellence across disciplines.
This year’s convocation will bring together distinguished academic leaders, industry experts, faculty members, families, and graduating students for three days of ceremony and celebration in Manipal, followed by two days of convocation events at the Bengaluru campus. In Manipal, 6,148 students will be conferred their degrees. On November 29, the convocation in Bengaluru will witness the graduation of over 917 students from the MAHE Bengaluru campus, while 1,385 students will receive their online degrees from MAHE on November 30. The event will honour outstanding academic achievement, recognise meritorious students with gold medals, and confer graduate, post-graduate and doctoral degrees upon scholars who have made significant contributions to research.
Adding to the stature of the occasion, each day will be graced by an eminent chief guest: Prof. Ananya Mukherjee, Vice Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR; Mr. Bikram Singh Bedi, Vice President, Asia Pacific Strategies Initiatives, Google Cloud, New Delhi; and Prof. (Dr.) Hany Eteiba, President, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow -all in Manipal phase of convocation. The Bengaluru phase of the convocation will also feature distinguished chief guests, further elevating the significance of the event: Ms. Rajkamal Vempati, Group Executive & Head of Human Resources, Axis Bank, and Ms. Paroma Chatterjee, CEO, Revolut India.
Addressing at the press conference in Manipal Dr. H. S. Ballal, Pro Chancellor, MAHE, said that the three-day ceremony reflects MAHE’s commitment to recognising excellence across disciplines and preparing students for an ever-evolving world. Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, VSM (Retd), Vice Chancellor, MAHE, added that the 33rd convocation stands as a celebration of academic achievement and more than three decades of resilience, innovation, and dedication shown by MAHE’s students.
Each day of the ceremony will feature a formal academic procession, invocation, conferment of degrees, and congratulatory messages from university leadership. The event will also highlight MAHE’s legacy of academic excellence, vibrant interdisciplinary ecosystem, and global outlook that continues to shape skilled professionals and emerging leaders.
Over three days in Manipal, the convocation will celebrate the accomplishments of over 4,950 graduating students in presence and 1,198 in absentia, while the Bengaluru ceremony will be held over two days will honour and 728 graduates in presence and 189 in absentia. MAHE Online Education will honour 625 students in person and 760 in absentia during the ceremony to be held in MAHE Bengaluru campus. Fields such as Health Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Management, Design, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Life Sciences, their accomplishments reflect the breadth and strength of MAHE’s academic environment. The ceremony marks not only the completion of their programmes but also their transition into new professional and research pathways shaped by the comprehensive and transformative education that defines MAHE.
A total of 15 gold medals will be awarded this year, 12 at the Manipal campus and 3 at the Bengaluru campus.
