New Delhi : As part of the World Environment Day, Mahila Pragatisheel Association and Bharat Vikas Parishad jointly organised a tree plantation programme at Vivek Vihar to promote environmental sustainability and create awareness about the importance of preserving nature.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents and children, who actively joined the plantation drive. As part of the awareness campaign against plastic pollution, cloth bags were distributed among children and participants to encourage the use of eco-friendly alternatives and reduce dependence on single-use plastic.
During the programme, various trees and plants were planted across the area, reinforcing the commitment of both organisations towards building a greener and healthier environment for future generations.
The organisers emphasised that collective community efforts are essential for environmental conservation and sustainable development. The event concluded with a pledge by participants to continue supporting green initiatives and adopt environmentally responsible practices in daily life.
