Malabar Gold & Diamonds Participates in Uttar Pradesh CSR Roundtable 2026 on Future-Ready Education

New Delhi  : Malabar Gold & Diamonds participated in the Uttar Pradesh CSR Roundtable 2026 – Future-Ready Education, organised by the Department of Basic & Secondary Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with the Invest UP CSR Facilitation Cell. Held at Radisson Hotel, Noida, the roundtable brought together senior government leadership and select corporates to discuss scalable CSR partnerships in the education sector.

The event was held in the presence of Shri Sandeep Singh Ji, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Basic Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, as Chief Guest. The discussions focused on strategic intervention areas including foundational literacy and numeracy, digital learning infrastructure, school infrastructure strengthening, teacher capacity building, and girls’ education.

Malabar Group was represented at the roundtable by Mr. Shabeer P. K., CSR Head, Malabar Group, and Mr. Jishad, North Regional Head, Malabar Gold & Diamonds. The invitation marked an important recognition of Malabar Group’s sustained CSR work in education, particularly its Micro Learning Centres and scholarship programmes, which have been designed to support children and students from vulnerable and economically challenged communities.

During discussions with the organisers, interest was expressed in exploring a potential Memorandum of Understanding with Malabar Gold & Diamonds, aligned with the Group’s ongoing CSR initiatives in Uttar Pradesh. The proposed collaboration is expected to focus on education-led interventions such as Micro Learning Centres and scholarship programmes, with details to be developed further.

Commenting on the participation, M. P. Ahammad, Chairman, Malabar Group, said, “We consider our participation in the Uttar Pradesh CSR Roundtable 2026 a significant recognition of the work Malabar Group has been carrying out in education and community development. Uttar Pradesh represents one of the most important education ecosystems in the country in terms of scale, complexity, and long-term impact potential. To be part of a strategic dialogue alongside government leadership and key institutions on the future of education is both an honour and a responsibility. Our Micro Learning Centres and scholarship programmes were created with the belief that access to learning can meaningfully change the direction of a child’s life. We look forward to exploring collaborative pathways that can help extend these interventions to more communities in a structured and sustainable manner.”

Malabar Gold & Diamonds’ Micro Learning Centres are community-based learning hubs designed to support children affected by learning loss, irregular schooling, migration, poverty, and social instability. The model combines foundational education, nutrition support, mentoring, and psychosocial care, with the larger aim of helping children bridge learning gaps and return to formal schooling. The Group’s scholarship programmes continue to support students from economically challenged backgrounds in pursuing education.

The roundtable underlined the importance of structured corporate participation in strengthening education outcomes at scale. For Malabar Gold & Diamonds, the engagement reinforces its commitment to education-led CSR and opens a meaningful pathway to align its existing interventions with the priorities of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
