Mizoram Govt has announced total lockdown within the municipal area of Aizawl with immediate effect from today till 4.30 am of 21st of this month.
An official statement said the decision was taken this evening to check the spread of Covid-19 and enable frontline workers to do more widespread surveillance, especially that of secondary contacts.
Officials said with this order, no entry and outgoing movement will be allowed through the periphery of Aizawl municipal area. However, movements allowed for essential services including police, medical staff, media, milk distribution.
