Mumbai: Off-Season Ultimate (OSU) is set to premiere the Refex Mumbai Ultimate League (MUL) Season 5 from tomorrow with defending champions Dancing Dragons facing off against Bumbai Buntais at the Wings Arena, Bandra. Six matches will be played on the opening day in two fields simultaneously. The matches are scheduled for 4 PM, 5:30 PM and 7 PM.
The Afterburners will be up against Reborn Fire in Field 2, and the latter will return to face Bumbai Bantais in both teams second match of the day. The new entrants, Bombay Rhinos and Desi Hawks, will make their debut in the MUL as they take on each other in Field 1 in the second set of matches.
Every match will be played over two halves of 40 minutes each with half time at 40 minutes or when a team scores 7 points, whichever happens first. Each team will receive 3 points for a win and 1 point for a tied match. The top two teams in the table at the end of the table will play in Qualifier 1 for a place in the finals, while the third and fourth placed teams will play in the Eliminator. The losers of Qualifier 1 and the winners of the Eliminator match will play in Qualifier 2 to decide the second finalists. A placement match to decide 5th and 6th places will also be played at the end of the league.
