MANGALDAI :: A district level meet of the registered local NGO s was organized by the team Darrang of Piramal Foundation, a Niti Aayog supported non government agency as a part of their Aspirational District Collaborative ( ADC ) initiative here on February 28. The meet which aimed at identifying the NGO s with their special area of functions and bringing them under a platform for collective action to resolve the issues prevailing in the district which work as barriers in lifting the aspirational area tag of the district.
The day long meet which was attended by representatives of more than fifteen NGO s also gave them a platform to celebrate their contributions to the social development of the district through their selfless services towards the community at the grass root. Earlier the office bearers of Piramal Foundation including its district team leader Rubina Yasmin Hazarika gave a brief account on their background, their area of operations and their planning for future.
