NMIMS Chandigarh Organizes Kushagra 2.0 Inter-School Quiz Competition; Young Minds Showcase Knowledge and Excellence

NMIMS Chandigarh successfully organized Kushagra 2.0, its flagship inter-school quiz competition, witnessing enthusiastic participation from school students across the region. The event was conducted as a full-day academic engagement that began with the arrival of participating students from across the Tricity region, Shimla, Amritsar, and Delhi NCR. A vibrant atmosphere of excitement and healthy competition marked the occasion as students gathered on campus to showcase their knowledge, analytical thinking, and intellectual abilities.

A total of 236 students from various schools competed in the semi-final round after qualifying through the online preliminary rounds. The competition culminated in an exciting final round featuring the top 10 teams, showcasing exceptional knowledge, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities among the participants.

NMIMS Chandigarh provided a dynamic platform for young minds to engage in healthy academic competition and demonstrate their aptitude across diverse domains of knowledge. The event aimed to nurture intellectual curiosity, confidence, and a spirit of lifelong learning among school students.

Tagore International School emerged as the winner of Kushagra 2.0. The winning team comprised M. Vasanth, Adwitiya Bhaumik, Nidhir Barohan, and Vihaan Swarankar, who were awarded a cash prize of INR 25,000.

Delhi Public School Mathura Road secured the first runner-up position. Team members Mnaqib Abbas, Md. Amaan, Rehaan Niyaazi, and Aarav Khandelwal received a cash prize of INR 15,000.

Delhi Public School RK Puram claimed the second runner-up position. The team included Ayush Goyal, Abhay Gautam, Ansh Aggarwal, and Aarav Bhaskar, who were awarded a cash prize of INR 10,000.

The winners were felicitated by Prof. (Dr.) Jyotsna Singh, Mr. Abhinav Kaushik, and Quiz Master Mr. Arindam Bhattacharya.

Addressing the gathering, Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) Jyotsna Singh highlighted the importance of participation in academic and co-curricular activities for the overall development of students. She emphasized that learning should not remain confined to classrooms and textbooks alone, but should extend to platforms that encourage curiosity, creativity, communication, and innovation. She encouraged students to continuously explore new ideas, stay inquisitive, and remain adaptable in an ever-evolving world.

She further elaborated on the significance of OCAC (Outside Class Academic Association), stating that such initiatives provide students with opportunities to practically apply their knowledge, build confidence, enhance teamwork, and develop leadership qualities. She motivated students to actively participate in extracurricular engagements alongside academics, as these experiences play a vital role in shaping well-rounded individuals and future leaders.
