Plutus’25 at Greenwood High Unites Around 1,000 Students in a Celebration of Creativity

Bangalore: Greenwood High International School successfully hosted Plutus’25, its flagship Commerce and Economics fest at their Sarjapur campus recently. Inspired by the Greek God of Wealth, the fest marked its fourth edition this year, drawing close to 1,000 enthusiastic participants from leading institutions across the city.

Themed “Ruins to Riches”, the fest created an immersive experience that was reflected in both the opening and closing ceremonies. Plutus’25 not only showcased academic prowess but also fostered camaraderie, creativity, and innovation in a vibrant, unconventional learning environment. Participants merged various disciplines with economics and commerce, presented elevator pitches and business ventures, and solved escape rooms, during the span of the two-day event.

The eight events were designed to challenge students across multiple dimensions of commerce and economics. Ecolympics combined sport with economics through fantasy leagues and auctions, while Oracle of Deceit tested problem-solving in an escape room based on real-world financial frauds. Zeus Verdict simulated the intensity of corporate warfare, Pyrite placed participants in dynamic marketing crises, Mercatus recreated the energy of trading floors, and Dragon’s Den challenged entrepreneurial skills through pitching sessions. Each event demanded strategic thinking, collaboration, and ingenuity.

Reflecting on the event, Mrs. Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Greenwood High International School, said: “Plutus’25 has grown into a unique platform that blends intellectual challenge with creativity. It encourages students to think critically, respond to complex scenarios, and work collaboratively, skills that are vital in today’s world. We are delighted to see the enthusiastic participation and congratulate all the winners for their exceptional performance.”

Greenwood High continues to nurture holistic education that extends beyond the classroom, preparing students to excel in academic, professional, and personal spheres. Events such as Plutus’25 reaffirm the school’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences that shape confident, capable, and future-ready individuals.
