Polling on November 3 to be held with full security arrengement in MP

Bhopal: The election campaign for the by-elections in 28 assembly constituencies of 19 districts of the state has come to an end. Polling will be held on November 3 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. All necessary arrangements have been completed in this regard.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Shri Arun Kumar Tomar informed that polling will be held on November 3, following the entire security arrangements and guidelines of Covid-19. Eighty four companies of Central Police Force have been deployed at the polling centers. Two thousand 500 SAF jawans, 10 thousand personnel of district police force, 7 thousand home guard and 10 thousand special police officers have been deployed.

Postal ballots have been issued for Divyang voters. Arrangements for assistants and wheel chairs have also been made at polling stations for them. A total of 3 thousand 38 critical polling booths and 358 vulnerable hamlets have been identified in the by-elections. Arrangement of 250 flying squads, 173 SST and 293 police posts have been made for peaceful, fair, transparent and safe polling. So far, one thousand 493 illegal firearms have been seized by the police. More than one lakh 52 thousand licensed firearms have been deposited. Eight thousand 730 non-bailable warrants have been served. Along with this, illegal items worth more than Rs. 21 crore and cash have been seized. Special watch on oncoming vehicles is underway
