President Murmu says latest medical techniques should be used for people living in remote areas

New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu called upon the medical students to give priority to serving the underprivileged class. She said that the latest medical techniques should be used for the welfare of people living in remote areas.  Addressing the convocation function of All India Institute of Medical Sciences – AIIMS, Raipur the President said that during the last decade, many steps have been taken to provide universal health coverage to the countrymen. Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai were also present on the occasion.,

Earlier, the President reached Raipur on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh. Governor  Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai received President Droupadi Murmu on her arrival at Raipur. Later today, she will attend the 14th convocation of the National Institute of Technology – NIT Raipur.

Apart from this, the President will online release the 9th instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the Chhattisgarh Government to 70 lakh women in a programme to be held at Purkhauti Muktangan in Naya Raipur this evening. On this occasion, she will also interact with the beneficiaries of the scheme as well as people from the tribal community.

On the second and last day of her two-day visit to Chhattisgarh tomorrow, the President will grace the convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology – IIT and Health Science and AYUSH University
