Pvt Firm ISB to appoint VC, Good Gov & Policy Analysis in MP

The Madhya Pradesh Government is reported to have outsourced the services of Bharti Institute of Public Policy also known as the Indian School of Business (ISB) in order to select the best and non-political candidate for the post of Vice-chairman (VC), Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis in the State.

It is reported that the State Government has hired ISB spending more than Rs 50 lakh for the selection process. The selection committee of this firm is believed to have short-listed at least three candidates at national level and the file is gathering dust at the Chief Minister Office for its final approval.

According to sources, the appointment of Vice-chairman is expected to be made after the by-elections in the month of November. If the present ruling party loses power, then the new Government will have to consider the same proposal as a huge amount of money has already been spent on the selection process, the sources said.

The Government entrusted this private firm with this assignment so as to select a policy making expert without any political interference for this post, a cabinet minister rank.
