In Uttar Pradesh, whole state is shivering as the region sees a wet spell, with rains and hailstorm bringing down the temperature in many parts. Many Districts in the eastern part of state are witnessing light rains from last 24 hours and chilly winds have bought down the day temperature.
State capital Lucknow today engulfed in darkness even in the afternoon as thunderstorm and showers lashed the city. Roads are stranded and people prefer to remain in their homes due to continuous rain from morning.
Mau, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Maharajganj, Pilibhit districts of Tarai and eastern region of state are experiencing wet spells from last night. Kanpur and Mainpuri districts of central region also witnessed hailstorm with showers.
Road traffic affected badly due to bad weather and in many districts schools are close in the wake of rains.
Fresh warning of thunderstorms with hail has been issued by meteorological department for central and eastern part of state. Weathermen are predicting that current spell of dark clouds and light rain will continue for next 24 hours at least.
