SIP Abacus to felicitate 120 alumni for outstanding academic excellence

Hyderabad : SIP Abacus, one of the country’s leading children’s skill development organizations and a six-time Limca Book of Records holder, will felicitate 120 of its alumni who have emerged as top academic performers in SSC and Intermediate examinations in a special function to be held in TGSRTC Kalabhavan, Baghlingampally Road in Hyderabad on June 14.

Ms. Uma Swaminathan, National Manager, SIP Abacus, will be the Chief Guest and present awards to the students.

Announcing the programme, Mr. Bharath, State Head, SIP Abacus Telangana, said that the students being honoured have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, with many securing scores of 95 percent and above in their SSC and Intermediate examinations.

“What makes these achievements particularly significant is that these students overcame the fear of mathematics at a young age and developed strong cognitive abilities through systematic mental math training. Their success demonstrates how early brain training can contribute to all-round academic excellence,” he said.

The 120 students are among hundreds of SIP Abacus alumni from various schools across Telangana who have excelled in academics. They completed SIP Academy’s structured skill development programmes, including the prestigious Grand Master Programme, and have gone on to achieve remarkable academic success.

According to Mr. Bharath, the felicitation is being organised for the first time to celebrate not just academic scores, but the long-term impact of cognitive skill development.

“These students have returned to celebrate how early brain training shaped their academic journey. SIP Academy is not merely celebrating marks. It is celebrating the long-term impact of concentration, memory enhancement, listening skills, confidence-building and cognitive development among children,” he added.

He further observed that mental mathematics is increasingly becoming a competitive advantage in today’s highly demanding academic environment.

“The success of these students raises an important question: Is mental math becoming the new competitive advantage? Their achievements strongly suggest that enhanced concentration, memory and numerical ability can positively influence overall academic performance,” he said.

SIP Abacus has trained over one million children across India over the past two decades. Currently, more than 1.75 lakh students are enrolled in its programmes through over 1,000 centres, supported by more than 5,000 teachers and partnerships with over 1,500 schools. In Telangana alone, over 12,000 students are currently undergoing training through SIP Academy programmes.
