Mumbai : As sports, fitness, and active lifestyles become an increasingly integral part of childhood, one category has remained largely underserved—activewear designed specifically for children. Addressing this gap, sisters and entrepreneurs Archana Khosla Burman and Niharika Khosla Sehgal have launched ZONE, India’s first premium activewear brand created exclusively for kids.
Built on the belief that children deserve apparel designed for the way they move, play, train, and grow, ZONE introduces a new category in children’s fashion—one that combines performance, comfort, durability, and style in equal measure.
While the activewear market has witnessed significant innovation for adults over the past decade, children’s apparel has largely remained focused on casualwear and occasionwear, with limited attention given to functionality and movement. Yet today’s children are spending more time than ever participating in organised sports, outdoor activities, fitness programmes, and active play.
Designed for children aged 4–14 years, the brand’s collections feature lightweight, breathable, stretch-performance fabrics engineered to support unrestricted movement while delivering comfort, durability, and shape retention. More than a clothing label, ZONE aims to champion a culture of movement and inspire children to embrace active lifestyles from an early age.
Speaking about the launch, Archana Khosla Burman, Co-Founder, ZONE, said: “As parents, we found ourselves constantly searching for apparel that could truly support the way children move. There were plenty of fashion choices, but very little created specifically for active kids. ZONE was born from that gap.”
Archana brings over two decades of experience working with entrepreneurs, consumer businesses, and growth-stage ventures, bringing deep expertise in strategy, brand building, and business growth.
Commenting on the launch, Niharika Khosla Sehgal, Co-Founder, ZONE, added: “We wanted to create apparel that feels effortless to wear, performs through every activity, and gives children the freedom to move without distraction.”
With more than two decades of experience across apparel design, sourcing, manufacturing, and product development, Niharika leads the brand’s product vision and innovation.
With its launch, ZONE takes the first step towards building a category that has long been missing from the Indian market: activewear made for kids, not adapted for them.
