Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala SSLC examination results for 2026 were announced on Friday with an impressive pass percentage of 99.07%.

Principal Secretary of the General Education Department, Sharmila Mary Joseph, formally declared the results. Out of 4,14,290 students who appeared for the examination, 4,10,456 students emerged successful.

Results are available from 3:30 PM onwards on the government’s official websites. Students can also access their scores via the IT Mission WhatsApp number 9188619958 and the ‘Nammude Kerala’ mobile app.

Sharp Drop in Full A+ Scorers

This year, 30,514 students achieved Full A+ grades (A+ in all subjects). This marks a significant decrease from the previous year’s figure of 61,449. Among the Full A+ holders, 20,771 were girls and 9,743 were boys.

The examination was conducted under a revised syllabus with new textbooks and a changed question paper pattern.

Examination Details

The SSLC examinations were held from March 5 to March 30, 2026, across 3,031 centres in the state. Valuation of answer scripts was carried out between April 14 and May 2.

In addition to the mainland centres, 386 students appeared from nine centres in Lakshadweep. In the Gulf region, 633 students had registered from seven centres. However, due to the prevailing war situation in West Asia, these students were granted exemption and provided with alternative provisions.

The high pass percentage continues Kerala’s consistent record of excellent performance in school-level public examinations, even as the number of students securing the highest grade has come down compared to the previous year.
