Two rebels arrested

Kokrahar: Two members of banned NDFB-S, including a woman Cadre were apprehended from remote Ripu reserve forest area under Serfanguri police station in Kokrajhar district today.

Police in Kokrajhar said based on specific tip off regarding movement of a group of NDFB-S cadres in Ripu reserve forest a joint operation was launched by Kokrajhar Police along  210 Bn Cobra camp Patgaon in Ripu reserve forest area under Serfanguri Police Station this morning hour in which two rebles were apprehended.

The arrested NDFB-S rebels were identified as Rabin Wary alias Rou Rou  and Rosina Nazary alias N Ruju. The two are from 42 batch of NDFB(S).

Two hand grenades, back packs, cash amount Rs 1450 have been recovered from their possession. This refers to Serfanguri poli station case no 60/2018.

Police said the arrested rebles are involved in extortion and recruitment of new members.
