Bengaluru: The 13th edition of Sargaalaya International Arts & Crafts Festival, the largest arts and crafts festival in South India, organised by Sargaalaya Kerala Arts & Crafts Village, is expected to attract over 2 lakh visitors from various states of India and abroad. Celebrating the richness of traditional and contemporary craftsmanship, Sargaalaya International Arts & Crafts Festival has evolved into one of the most vibrant and prestigious crafts festivals in India.
Sargaalaya Kerala Arts & Crafts Village, the proud organiser of this festival, was planned, developed, commissioned, and is managed by ULCCS for the Government of Kerala’s Department of Tourism at Iringal, Kozhikode. Built on a sprawling 20-acre site that was once a mining quarry, the village features traditional artisan-studios and core infrastructure under ULCCS’s meticulous oversight, creating an authentic and immersive environment for artisans and visitors alike.
Sargaalaya International Arts & Crafts Festival to be held from 23 December 2025 to 11 January 2026 Following the huge success of the previous twelve editions, SIACF has become a unique platform for artisans from across India and abroad to showcase and market their exquisite handmade creations in a culturally immersive, rural-traditional environment. This year we are expecting the participation of around 300 artisans representing diverse craft traditions. A rural tourism initiative, the festival aims to promote and uplift rural artisans while contributing to the economic development of the rural community.
The formal inauguration of the fair will be done by Hon. Shri. P.A. Muhammed Riyaz, Minister of Public Works and Tourism, Government of Kerala on December 25 at 6 pm. Shri. Snehil Kumar Singh, District Collector, Kozhikode, IAS, and Shri. Nagesh Kumar Anumala, Chief General Manager, NABARD Kerala Region will be present. The fair will be attended by around 300 artisans from 15 countries including Belarus, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Russia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, Taiwan, Thailand, Uganda, Uzbekistan and 18 states of India. National Crafts Award/Shilpa Guru winners Mr. Suryakant Bondwal from Haryana, Mr. Asit Bharanjana from West Bengal, Mr. Mohammed Sharif from Rajasthan, Mr. Mohammed Matalub from New Delhi and Smt. Shaheen Anchum will participate in the fair.
As part of the fair, more than a hundred handicraft stalls, diverse artistic programs, a handloom theme pavilion, a handloom fashion show competition, a Kerala food fair, a flower show, a tourism expo, a tourism talk show with the participation of eminent personalities, a commercial pavilion, a vehicle exhibition, an exhibition related to Kalari, and various entertainment facilities for children are being organized. This time, Rajasthani food dishes are being specially prepared at the fair.
