Union Agriculture Minister expresses gratitude towards PM for hiked MSP of 14 Kharif crops

Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for increasing the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for 14 Kharif Crops for Marketing Season 2026-27. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, the Minister said that the MSP of paddy has been increased from 2,369 to 2,441 rupees per quintal, while the MSP of Jowar has been increased from 3,699 to 4,023 rupees per quintal. MSP of Bajra increased from 2,775 to rupees 2,900 per quintal. He also said that the MSP of Maize was increased by ten rupees to 2,410 rupees per quintal. The MSP of Tur has been raised from 8000 to 8,450 per quintal, while the MSP of cotton was increased by 557 rupees per quintal to 8,267 rupees per quintal. Mr Chouhan said that the farmers of the country will be greatly benefited by the increased MSP.
